TOPS & HOPES
The TOPs (Talent Opportunity Program) is a national initiative by USA Gymnastics for female athletes ages 8–10, designed to identify and develop those with the potential for high-level performance. Focusing on physical ability, strong technique, and foundational skills, the program builds a base for long-term success—whether through the Elite path or the Development Program (Levels 1–10).
At Gymnastics Unlimited, TOPs is an invite-only opportunity offered alongside our Girls’ Team. Athletes are selected based on exceptional strength, flexibility, focus, skill development, and work ethic, and must fall within specific age ranges for eligibility.
Training centers around Physical Abilities and TOPs Skills, which develop key progressions for future elite gymnastics. Participants attend dedicated TOPs practices while continuing their regular team training.
While not required to reach high levels in the sport, TOPs is a strong indicator of potential and opens the door to national testing, camps, and possible selection to the TOPs National Team.

Accelerated Program (AP)
The Accelerated Program (AP) is available at Gymnastics Unlimited for high level athletes who have expressed interest in pursing gymnastics post high school or on the elite track. These girls will either participate in a full homeschool program or in a hybrid program where they have half days at school. This is a requirement as these athlete will participate in two practices a day, two to three times a week.
The goal of this program is to give athletes the ability to balance increased training hours and school work, as well as give them the tools to reach their goals in a safe and productive way. Each athlete will receive individualized attention, personalized planning in skill development and physical prep to assist in their development based on their current skill level and goals expressed at the start of the program.
